Hand Painted Ornaments

Every ornament begins as a 4" clear glass ball. After being carefully hand-painted in Lynchburg, Virginia, each ornament is signed, tied with a ribbon and placed inside a beautiful gift box. No two ornaments are ever exactly alike, ensuring that you are giving a one-of-a-kind keepsake that will be cherished for years to come.

The artist donates a portion of the proceeds to Little Star Outreach, a music and art therapy program for hospitalized or otherwise special needs children. Artist and designer, Amy Calandra Davis, has had her own painting studio since the age of twelve. Okay, so it was a “studio” made on top of storage boxes in the corner of her parents basement.

Amy still works from a small home studio where along with some talented employees, her husband (and occasionally any one of their four fabulous kids), she creates the delightful artworks. It must be said that is not just an outlet for Amy’s creative energies . It is an extension of a precious lesson she learned from her son Zachary, the understanding that we encounter bright and beautiful gifts everyday each filled with hope and a purpose. Some gifts we miss because we’re not looking and some we let slip by because we’re not sure where they will lead.

Zachary passed away at the age of four. He is the inspiration behind the ”Little Star” boy and other images seen in Amy’s art. Please see our Little Star Outreach for more information about ways in which is helping to let other little lights shine.
